Loraine Lenz Carroll Gross was born Sept. 24, 1927, in Chicago, Ill. Loraine grew up in Crown Point, Ind., graduated from Purdue University where she enjoyed life as a Phi Beta Phi, making many lifelong friends. After graduation, she worked for United Airlines until she met and married the love of her life, Todd Gross, Jr. and moved to Pine Bluffs, Wyo. Loraine brought beauty, laughter and love to everyone and everything she touched. She was a gracious hostess and excellent cook who entertained many. She and Todd spent several years living in Fallbrook, Calif., before returning to live near family. Loraine was preceded in death by a whole cast of family characters. The fun and adventures were vast and the stories could go on forever. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Todd Gross; Paula and Mike Musgrave, Andrea and Scott Lamons, all of Fort Collins; John Gross of Pine Bluffs, Wyo.; Bill McMillan and Georgia Gross of Roseburg, Ore.; and nine grandchildren she loved to spoil. She will be remembered for her absolute beauty and class, as well as her love for animals. A private celebration of her life will be held in September.
