Lola Marie Chenot was welcomed into her Savior's arms on June 20, 2007. She passed away peacefully at Columbine Care Center, where she was a resident for six years. She was born in Burlington on Feb. 19, 1917, in the home her grandfather built. Her family moved to Denver in 1934. She married Homer M. Chenot in 1936. To this marriage four children were born. Lola loved the Lord and was active as a Sunday school teacher, church choir director and deaconess during the years she was raising her family. Lola and Homer retired in Fort Collins in 1976; he preceded her in death in 1985. Surviving are their children, Arlen L. Chenot of Fort Collins, Alfred G. Chenot of Arizona, Catherine B. Walsh of New Mexico, and Cheri M. Gee of Longmont. Lola was adored by 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel in Fort Collins.Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver.
