Lois Frances Atwood, 98, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 22, 2017. Born in Logansport, Indiana on October 7,1919, Lois was the last to expire in her family of five siblings with three sisters and one brother.

Lois married James Mouroe Atwood on August 7, 1940. Jim and Lois were happily married for 59 years. Lois was an administrative assistant for Indiana University while Jim attended IU in Bloomington, Indiana. Lois was also an administrative assistant with Kroger Company for many years until she and Jim moved to California in 1961 where she finished her career as a personnel administrator with the State of California. Upon retirement in 1975, Jim and Lois moved to Fort Collins to be near family.

Lois was a woman of strong faith and very active for 42 years at Lifepointe Church. In addition, she was also an active member of The Lions Club and a volunteer with The Aspen Club. Always cheerful, Lois will be remembered for her optimism and sunny smile. She enjoyed her family and friends as well as hiking, camping, reading western novels, and knitting.

She is survived by her daughters, Fran (Kent) Hillman of Michigan, and Anna (Gary) Olsen of Fort Collins; granddaughters, Karen (Ivan) Rocha of Ohio and Aimee (Jason) Chamell of Michigan, and 7 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at LifePointe Church, Fireside Room, 900 E Prospect Rd., 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Private Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
