It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rance, a devoted husband, father and servant of God, who entered heaven peacefully, surrounded by his family on January 23, 2025, at the age of 85.
Rance served in the Air Force with honor and pride, for 23 years, dedicating his career to aerospace engineering. Following his distinguished military service, he continued to make significant contributions to the field at Martin Marietta, where his work left a lasting impact.
A man of deep faith, Rance was a committed Christian who lived his life with integrity and kindness, always putting his family and faith at the forefront. His deep-rooted faith guided his every step, inspiring those around him to live with purpose and grace. Anyone who knew him, knew his life motto was "Keep the Main Thing the Main Thing". He will be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his wife, children and all those blessed to know him.
Rance is survived by his three daughters, Wendy (Brent), Stacy (Nikki) and Kelly (Seth), 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Brenda Ramey and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his "sweetheart" & wife Kathleen, his brother Wayne and sister Robbie Gay. They welcomed him home with open arms as Rance arrived at the gates of heaven.
We will be having a remembrance and celebration of life in Westcliffe, a place they deeply loved and spent many happy years enjoying after retirement. Due to the winter weather in the Sangre De Cristo mountains, we will be waiting until spring to fulfill his wishes. We will reach out to family and friends in the coming months with details regarding the upcoming service.
He was an amazing man, who loved his family and his God with everything he had. Though his earthly journey has come to an end, Rance's memory and impact will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
"Well done good and faithful servant…Enter into the joy of your Lord" – Matthew 25:23
