Lloyd B. Baltz, 82, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at McKee Hospice Center. Lloyd Burnett Baltz was born on Oct. 6, 1922, in Aurora, Ill., to Lloyd Henry Baltz and Nora Marcina Seidelman. Lloyd is a World War II veteran and served in the Army from Nov. 6, 1942, to March 3, 1946, when he received an honorable discharge as Sgt. CO F 36th Cav RCN SQ MECZ. He married Kathleen McKay on Dec. 31, 1943, in Raton, N.M., on his way to report to boot camp in Arizona. He supported his family as controller for Forney Industries from 1953 to December 1988. He was a good father to his three surviving daughters, Dawn McKay of Pie Town, N.M., Marla Tornquist and her husband, Pete, of Burleson, Texas, and Lynette T. Baltz of Fort Collins. He has seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; we will miss him. He was an artist and collected music and stamps; he could fix and build anything. He was a devout traditional Catholic as an active member of the Annunciation Chapel. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, his parents and his sister. A rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon Saturday at Annunciation Chapel, 290 E. County Road 56. Interment with military honors by Fort Collins All Veterans Honor Guard will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Those who desire may view Mr. Baltz from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Annunciation Chapel or charity of choice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Fort Collins, CO 80524.
