Lisa Ann Moss, born June 17, 1965 to Duane and Betty (Murauski) Prosser, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on the morning of December 24, 2023 in Windsor, CO, surrounded by and loved into heaven by her family.
Lisa was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised in McKeesport, PA with her younger brother, Lee, older brother Larry and older sister Linda. She was a proud Clemson University graduate, and after marrying Max Moss moved to Texas to raise a family including son Chet and daughters Emily and Carly.
Lisa was an incredibly kindhearted and loving friend, wife and mother. A devoted follower of Jesus, her life was an example of what it looks like to live as truly Christ centered. She showed mercy and grace where it was not earned or deserved, forgiveness at every opportunity and love for everyone she met. Lisa especially loved her family. She was the glue that held our family together and saw us all through both good and tough times. She laid down her life for her family which will bear fruit for generations through her children and grandchildren. Before passing Lisa told us that all of her prayers for her family had been answered by God. She was incredibly thankful to have lived to see a lifetime of prayers answered.
Cancer became part of Lisa's journey over 4 years ago with her first breast cancer treatments. This experience began a journey of trusting God with great challenges, meeting wonderful new people, and embracing a lifestyle that she loved of healthy living. One of Lisa's defining characteristics was her habit to "pray about everything". No matter how small or trivial the issue or concern, Lisa would bring that to the lord in prayer. One of her greatest joys was encouraging and praying for others who were struggling with health, family, relationship or other issues. You could depend on Lisa to be an earnest prayer warrior for you to her Savior. Her hope and joy in the Lord were her greatest affections, followed closely by her love for her children, family and friends. She will be deeply missed in this life by everyone who knew her.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 33 years, Max Moss, her son Chet Moss, daughters Emily (Moss) Drage and Carly Moss; her three Grandchildren Zara and Zion Drage and Summer the daughter of Carly and Jordan; brothers Larry and Lee Prosser and nephews Tyler, Mathew and Macy Prosser; father-in-law Jack Moss; brother and Sister-in-law Mitch and Susan Moss; and numerous extended family. Lisa is preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law Joanne and sister Linda all of whom welcomed her into heaven with open arms and shouts of joy!
