Linnea "Linn" Rounds, 75, of Cheyenne died June 19 at Poudre Valley Hospital. Linnea was born February 12, 1944 in Gary, Indiana.
She earned her degree in journalism from Marquette University. While she spent much of her career with the Wyoming State Library, she also served as a book editor, was nationally published, worked with the Center for the Book and the Library of Congress. She also found time to volunteer throughout Laramie County, including the Davis Hospice Center, the Red Cross and was a longtime election judge. She served in leadership roles with the National Federation of Press Women and Community Action of Laramie County. In her free time Linnea loved to travel, knit, crochet, weave, read, garden and cook.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula (David) Novick; grandchildren, Madison and Morgan Rounds, Destry and Dylan Novick; sister Renee (Todd) Claeys; nieces and nephew, Melanie Holota and Zacharie and Alexandra Claeys; and goddaughter, Whitney Painter.
She was preceded in death by her husband Keith; a son, Daniel; sister Delphine; and her parents.
A funeral for Linnea will be held at St. Mary's Cathedral on June 24th at 11am. Interment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville Indiana at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Davis Hospice Center and Community Action of Laramie County.
