Linn Caraway Zink was born on July 7, 1949 in Shreveport, La. She died June 19, 2023 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Plans for interment are pending following Linn's wishes. Linn was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Linn Caraway and her father, Rev. Dr. James J. Caraway. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Zink of Fort Collins, CO, and her son, Matthew Richardson of Fort Collins, and stepson Parker Zink of Plano, TX. Additionally, Linn is survived by her stepmother, Carol Caraway, brother Jay Caraway and wife Sandra of Bossier City, La, sister Jan Caraway Humphries and husband Richard of Homer, La., sister Ann Caraway Wideman and husband Fred of Homer, and brother Ray Caraway and wife Mary of Loveland, CO and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linn was the daughter of a United Methodist Minister and found her home among the people of the many places her father was sent to serve. She lived in Shreveport LA, Bunkie LA, New Orleans LA, Homer LA, Minden LA and Hammond LA. Linn graduated from Homer High School in 1967. Linn was a Claiborne Parish Fair queen and a gifted pianist. She attended Centenary College and sang with the Centenary Choir. She would later move to Hammond, LA and finish college at Southeastern University.

Linn's Grandfather was a United Methodist pastor as were her father and uncle. Her sisters, Jan and Ann married United Methodist Ministers. Soon Linn would answer the call as well. She attended seminary at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX and became an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. Linn served as pastor to Benton UMC in Benton, LA. She worked for years in her position as Director of Community Life at Perkins School of Theology and later as The Dean of Students at Perkins. Linn served as Director of Christian education at Custer Road UMC in Plano, TX, and at Sun Creek UMC in Allen, TX.

Linn married Stephen Zink on May 31, 1997. They lived in Dallas, TX and later moved to Fort Collins, CO.
