She is survived by her nephew, Brian Noel of Fort Collins; niece, Danielle Noel; brother in law, Paul Noel of Colorado Springs; her aunts, Jan Davis of Wellington, and Jean Keller of Fort Collins; nephews, Ron Mitchell of Deatsville, AL and Danny and Jim Mitchell of Colorado Springs. Linda leaves many nieces and nephews in the Gher, Simpson and Carlstrom families as well as a half-sister Tootie Crowner of Walden, CO. Linda is also survived by her beloved pup, Mr. Higgins. Linda will be missed by her numerous friends in Fort Collins, the members of the "Girl's Night Out" bunch, her kind and helpful neighbors, the SOAP Troop members at the Senior Center and her dear friends and confidants Marilyn Roberts, Alice Connor and Geri Ensminger. Linda was preceded in death by her father and mother, Kenneth and Mildred Gher; her sisters, Jean Mitchell and Robin Noel; and step-brother, Ron Simpson. Linda was born in Bloomington, IN but moved to Colorado in her first year and considered herself a native Coloradoan at heart. She was raised in Denver and graduated from George Washington High School in 1964. She was a graduate of Barnes Business School in Denver. Linda was a top-notch administrative assistant and her entire career was devoted to this work—she really excelled at what she did. She was the Executive Assistant to the President and Corporate Secretary to the Board of Directors of National Technological University from 1982-2000 and the Personal Secretary to the Dean of Engineering at CSU from 1972-1982. Linda was a gourmet cook, a world traveler and an active and loving friend to many. She loved the Walden area of Colorado and was very proud of her family history of homesteading and ranching. Linda was family oriented and looked forward to all the family gatherings. She never met a project that she could not tackle from re-decorating the entire house to re-plumbing the entire bathroom. Linda was a very creative person, a great potter, a great pool player; she loved art, theatre and music and was always smiling. Linda was always looking for an adventure and ready to leave at a moment's notice. Throughout all her world travels she loved Tahiti best, Bon Voyage Linda. We will remember you, we will miss you. At her request, no service is planned, her ashes will be scattered over the family homestead in the beautiful North Park area of Colorado.
