Lincoln Taylor Walsh, 20, of Fort Collins, died November 23, 2009 coming home from school to be with his family. He was a freshman at the University of Wyoming. Lincoln was born October 30, 1989 in Fort Collins to Terry and Jill Walsh. Lincoln was a 2008 graduate of Poudre High School. Lincoln played football at Poudre and enjoyed snowboarding, wakeboarding and was a great all around athlete. Lincoln was a terrific kid and had a kind, loving heart. He had a passion for life and loved his family dearly. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his father, Terry Walsh and stepmother, JoAnne Walsh of Wellington; his mother, Jill Pierce-Abbajay and stepfather, Richard Abbajay of Ft. Collins; four brothers, Grayson Walsh, Justin Moinester Anita, Stephen Moinester, and Alex Moinester; a sister, Isabel Abbajay all of Fort Collins.
Great-grandmother, Edith Pierce; great-uncle Bob Pierce; great aunt and uncle, Jeanne and Bob Hanssen; grandparents, Olivia and Larry McCaffrey, and Ed and Joan Walsh; his aunt Merri Pierce; aunt and uncle Susan and Donald Rappenecker; aunt Janna Cordova. Lincoln is also survived by his cousins, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held in the South Auditorium at Timberline Church, 2908 Timberline, on Saturday, November 28th at 11:00 a.m. Pastor John Engle will officiate at the service. A visitation will be held, Friday, November 27th 4-6 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made to a charity of your choice in Lincoln's name.
