Lillian L. Gilpin, 94, of Fort Collins, died December 27, 2009 at a local nursing home. Mrs. Gilpin was born March 28, 1915 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Harry Anderson and LuLu Lamott Anderson. Lillian married Ross Gilpin on October 8, 1939 in Denver, Colorado. They moved to Fort Collins from Denver in 1980. Mrs. Gilpin was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed oil and watercolor painting and needlework. Survivors include son, David Cynthia Gilpin of Springfield, Missouri; daughter, Sharon Jim Brookshire of Laporte, Colorado; sisters, Zelma Dickinson of Phoenix, Arizona and Carol Brown of Batavia, Iowa; four grandchildren, Donald, Wendy, Troy and Laurie; three great- grandchildren, Savannah, Sarah and Mason. Proceeding Lillian in death are her husband, Ross Gilpin; parents, Harry and Lu Lu Anderson; sisters, Mary McClintock, Violet Anderson; and brother, Samuel Anderson. A Graveside Service will be held at Grandview Cemetery, on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Mr. W. Donald Fike will officiate the service.
