Lewie Brown

Lewie J. Brown, 76, of Fort Collins, died June 23, 2008 at Poudre Valley Hospital. Mr. Brown was born July 11, 1931 in Fort Collins to Reid and Evelyn Brown. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Lewie married Nellie L. Willbanks on February 23, 1952 in Fort Collins. Mr. Brown was a retired cable maintenance supervisor at Mountain Bell, Inc. who enjoyed flyfishing, camping, hunting, and wood working. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Nellie Lee ; a son, Lewie Kenneth Brown; and a grandchild, Michae Lee Ortega. Preceding Lewie in death are his two daughters, Jayme and Cynthia; his parents; a sister, Betty Spaulding, and two brothers, Own and Roy. A private family service will be held at a later date.
