Levy Patricio Auro, 70, of Fort Collins, passed away on July 4, 2009. Levy was born on April 18, 1939, in Camarines Norte, Philippines to Patricio and Milagros Auro. At the age of 8, Levy moved to Honolulu, Hawaii. Levy graduated from high school in Honolulu in 1957 and became a U.S. citizen in 1958. After graduation, Levy worked as a mover, packer and driver for Bekins Van Lines in Hawaii. He continued to work for Bekins after he moved to Colorado in 1990. Levy attended the Healing Arts Institute-Fort Collins School of Massage and received his Colorado Massage Therapist Certificate in 1992. Levy worked as a Professional Massage Therapist for the past 17 years. He provided healing and massage services to individuals and at major sporting events. Levy was an active member of the Blessed John XXIII Catholic University Church and Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Levy was a kind, dedicated and deeply spiritual man. He made pilgrimages to sacred sites around the world in honor of the Virgin Mary. He especially loved visiting Our Lady of Peace Shrine located in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. Levy touched many lives through his gentleness and gift of healing. His joy was spending time with family and friends. Levy was known for his warm spirit and good heart. Levy was preceded in death by his father, Patricio Auro; brother, Salvador Auro; sister, Lydia Auro; and step-father, Angel Ferrer. Levy is survived by his mother, Milagros Ferrer who resides in Honolulu, Hawaii and many good friends. A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 10th at Blessed John XXIII Catholic University Church, 1200 University Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado, Father Donald Willette officiating. Interment for Levy will be in Honolulu, Hawaii. Memorial contributions can be made to Levy's mother's care: Milagros Patricio Ferrer at 1639 Hooheke Street, Pearl City, Hawaii, 96782. She is Levy's sole survivor and is in ailing health. Donations will also be accepted at the memorial mass by Lou Palmieri, a long and trusted friend.
