LeRoy Huschka, formerly of Fort Collins, died at Hospice of The Valley in Mesa, Ariz., on Oct. 30, 2007. He was born Jan. 24, 1931, in Great Bend, Kan., and married Kathryn Purkeypyle on Sept. 1, 1952. They moved to Fort Collins in 1962 where LeRoy enjoyed many years as a custom home builder and later opened Daylight Donuts in LaPorte. LeRoy and Kathryn retired to Mesa, Ariz., in 1993 where they enjoyed the warmer climate and riding around on their golf cart with theirpoodle "Thumper." LeRoy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; son, Darrell Susie Huschka; daughter, Shelly Castillon; grandchildren, Tammie Larson, April Castillon, Farah Oster, Lonnie Castillon, Brianne McWilliams; siblings, Martin Huschka, Evelyn Behr, Leona Klein; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and family friends. A Rosary and Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6,at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Fort Collins. Burial will be held at Roselawn Cemetery. Father Lawrence Christiansen will officiate at the services. Following the interment, a luncheon/reception will be at Castillon's Mexican Restaurant. Those who desire may view Mr. Huschka from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
