Leona Kerbel, 94, of Loveland, formerly of Fort Collins died November 15, 2009 at McKee Hospital in Loveland. Mrs. Kerbel was born January 18, 1915 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Conrad and Katherine Elizabeth Adler Frickel. Leona married Manuel Kerbel on February 6, 1935 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Leona was a homemaker most of her life. She was a lifetime member of the Immanuel Christian Reformed Church. Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Jane Weitzel of Loveland; sister, Eva Maul of Wyoming; niece, Vivian Anderson; nephew, Robert Kerbel; grandchildren, Jodie Crites and husband, Tom of Loveland, Colorado and two great grandchildren, Alexandria and Arabella Crites of Loveland, Colorado. Preceding Leona in death are her parents, Conrad and Katherine Elizabeth Frickel; her husband, Manuel Kerbel; brother, Reuben Frickel; sisters, Emma Foos, Lydia Kerbel; A Funeral Service will be held at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 1900 south Taft Hill Road on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
