Lee Dan Tedesco

Lee Dan Tedesco of Nunn, Colorado died July 10, 2011. He was 67 years old. Lee was born in Miles City, Montana to Fortunado "Dan" and Marguerite "Peg" Tedesco. He attended school in Miles City where he participated in sports and was so proud of Tedesco Field, named after his father. Most of his summers were spent with his grandparents in Livingston, where he first experienced his love of horses and worked the "Word Famous Bucking Horse Sale" whenever he could. After graduation, Lee attended Montana Institute of Mineral Science in Butte, Montana, where he was a Sigma Rho Pledge. In 1963, Lee married Judi Watts. They had three children. He was active in Jaycee's and held most local offices. He was in finance and banking for 40 years until his retirement. He married Anne Marie Frank in 1986. They have enjoyed 25 wonderful years of marriage. After his retirement from banking he got back to his love of horses and he began ranching. He loved his horses, cows, and cats. Even though he complained, he loved every bit of the hard work it took building his ranch from the ground up. He was a member of AQHA and an associate member of the PRCA. He and Anne enjoyed auctions him more than her, western craft shows, diving in Mexico, yearly trips to Las Vegas for National Finals Rodeo, the Colorado Rockies, and watching his grandchildren in all their activities. We will always remember him for the special times, his love of ranching, his joy for helping others, and his never ending love for his wife and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a younger sister at birth. He is survived by his wife, Anne; son, Craig Tedesco Melissa of Eaton; daughters, Leslie Jaramillo Louie and Tara Tedesco, both of Greeley, nine grandchildren, a niece and nephew, and many other family and friends. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2011 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Ft. Collins, CO 80524. Contributions will go to Tedesco Field in Miles City to update and maintain the field and may be made to Lee Dan Tedesco Memorial Fund in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
