Lawrence Frederick

Lawrence Larry Frederick, 74 - Formally of Fort Collins 8/15/38 – 2/19/13 Loving and adored husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather! Larry was born into a close-knit community on the North Side of Minneapolis, MN. He was an entrepreneur from the start, selling doormats door-to-door with his friends as a teen, and became a credit manager at Gruman Steel at the age of 19. At 27, he moved to Colorado and thrived at Teledyne Waterpik, becoming the president of their International Division and traveling the world, doing several-month stints all over Europe. Deciding to travel less frequently, he became the president of Vipont Pharmaceutical which subsequently caused him to travel even more extensively but allowed him ultimately to retire at the ripe age of 52 and relocated to LaJolla, CA. He never looked back. His post-retirement life was rich, consisting of travel with family and friends, working tirelessly on his golf game, and spending quality time on long walks with his cherished wife, Jean. He had an infectious joy for life and an incredible and irreverent sense of humor. He and his bad jokes and singing will be in our hearts and minds forever.
Survived by his wife Jean; daughters, Lynn Meyer, Trudy Frederick Michael, Dede Frederick Tom, Mark Crabtree Janie, Cheryl Witte, Jeff Crabtree Kathy and grandchildren, Troy, Bobby, Kyle, Kristin, Nathanael, Carly, Joshua, Lauren and 4 great grandchildren. Private family services and burial were held at Resthaven Cemetery in Fort Collins.
