Laurie Paste

Laurie Ann Bowers, 51, of Fort Collins, died March 3, 2006, at Poudre Valley Hospital. Laurie was born July 24, 1954, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. She was raised in California by her parents, Orville E. Miller and Margaret Maxwell Miller. She moved to Fort Collins with her husband, Gary, from California after their marriage in 1973. She was a homemaker who loved decorating her home, and she also loved animals. Most of all, she missed spending time with her husband, Gary, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Bowers is survived by her brother, Ralph E. Miller, of Ridgecrest, Calif.; three sisters, Lesley Rita Perkins of Ridgecrest, Glenna Whitlock of Long Beach, Calif., and Brenda Carr of Ridgecrest; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David A. Miller. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Bruce Grauberger will officiate at the service. Because of Laurie's love for animals, her family would like any memorial contributions to be made to the Larimer Humane Society in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W.
