Laura Lee Pratt passed away from a sudden heart attack on November 29, 2022. She was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, on June 1, 1957, to Thomas and Mary Jane (Warren) Caliento. She and her seven siblings were raised in Dalton, Massachusetts. Her siblings are Carolina Galliher, Sarah Caliento, Teressa Penny, Louisa Horth, Joseph Caliento, Lisa Sargent, and Thomas Caliento.
Laura is survived by her husband of 37 years, John Roger Pratt; her three children, Jessica (Marc) Ames of Rineyville, Kentucky, David (Tonya) Carr of Gunnison, Colorado, and Joey W. Pratt of Fort Collins, Colorado; and nine grandchildren, Sasha Domenech, Xavier Domenech, Spencer Ames, Andrew Ames, Isabella Ames, Seimeon Bonner, Charles (Brock) Goode, Emma Carr and Aiden Carr.
Laura moved to Fort Collins in the late 1970s and worked as a project manager at Hewlett Packard for twenty years. Retiring from HP in 2020, she began a career in real estate.
As a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Laura was very grounded in her faith. She was a dedicated member of the church, volunteering on committees, serving in leadership positions, and contributing to mission work.
Laura will be remembered as an avid hiker, tireless gardener, prolific knitter, and for caning old chairs. She enjoyed long road trips, challenging hikes, and playing endless and rowdy board games with her grandchildren. She will be missed for her sense of humor, compassion, and leadership and organizational skills. She led groups in ways that brought people together while accomplishing whatever needed to be done.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Thomas.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 301 E. Drake Road, Fort Collins, Colorado 80526. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 301 E. Drake Rd., Fort Collins, CO 80525.
