Laura ''Laurie'' Leflet

Laura "Laurie" Renee Leflet, 19, of Gill, Colorado passed away March 28, 2009, after suffering a major aneurism . Laurie attended Kindergarten through 3rd grade at Namaqua Elementary in Loveland, and 4th through 6th at Eyestone Elementary in Wellington. She attended Wellington Jr. High and Graduated in the top 10% of her class from Poudre High School in 2008. She was currently taking classes at Front Range Community College to obtain her Associates of Science Degree with plans of transferring to CSU for Chemical Engineering. Laurie is survived by her parents; Lloyd Leflet of Fort Collins, Leslie Leflet and Cody Peterson of Gill; brother, Cory of Fort Collins; sister, Savanna and Michael of Cheyenne; and nephew, Aiden; grandmother, Phyllis Metz of Fort Collins; grandparents, Tex and Janet Leflet of Utah. Uncles, Loyd Metz of Fort Collin, Lex and aunt Pat Metz of Loveland, Layton Metz Jr. and aunt Linda of Grand Junction, Donald Leflet of Reno, Nev. Cousins, Heather, Jody and James Bradner of Yuma, Lenora, Garland, Hunter, Chance and Trey Mears of Gunnison, Lonnie Metz of Grand Junction, and Mark , Kyle and Thor Metz of Pine Bluffs Wyo. She was proceeded in death by her grandfather, Layton Metz. Laurie was a proud member of the Greeley Saddle Club, and held the positions of princess, attendant and queen during her membership, Rocky Mountain Saddle Club, Better Barrel Races and Rolling B Barrel Racing associations. She enjoyed riding horses for fun as well as competing. A memorial service will be held, 11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Resurrection Fellowship Church, 6502 E. Crossroads Blvd, Loveland. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Greeley Saddle Club Scholarship fund in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
