Larry lived his early years in Oklahoma moving to Colorado via California with his family where he attended Aurora High School graduating in 1957. Soon after graduating Larry was married and by 1963 had two sons Lonnie and Scott. Larry moved his young family from Aurora to Fort Collins in 1971. In 1974 Larry divorced and started new adventures staying in the Fort Collins area to be around while his sons grew up.

Larry had many jobs and careers through his life including business owner (bicycle shop, filling/service station), salesman, management, even Uber driver in later years. but the one he most thrived at was truck driver. After many years and some injuries, they came off the road and Larry began driving local dump trucks and also began diving into his next adventure, The Moose Lodge Fraternity.

Larry and Ramona became active members in the Moose Lodge Fraternity. Larry became the lodge administrator and was part of the Rocky Mountain regional ritual team. The ritual team would compete against other teams all over country. The Rocky Mountain Team that Larry was part won several national championships in the early 2000's. Larry also earned the Pilgrim degree honor in the Moose Lodge Fraternity.

Larry and Ramona moved to Apachee Junction, AZ where Ramona went to work for a local health care company and local church as a bookkeeper and Larry became the manager of the retirement community where they lived.
