LaBerta Alice Weiss Hattwick, of Fort Collins, died October 14, 2009. She was born to Doctor Albert Weiss and his wife, Emma Mable Cain, in Lanham, Nebraska, on February 17, 1909. LaBerta grew up in Kansas, graduated from Kansas University as Phi Beta Kappa and member of Mortar Board, and graduated from the University of Iowa with Master and PhD degrees in Child Psychology. She practiced as a Child Psychologist, and is co-author of the book, "Painting and Personality", and author of the book "Toward Meaningful Lives". LaBerta was married to Melvin S. Hattwick, and the parent of three sons; Richard, Michael, and David Hattwick. She leaves behind, her three sons, two daughter-in-laws, Nazareth and Barbara Hattwick, and eight Grandchildren. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
