Kervyn P. Bradley, 88, of 3300 Stanford Road, Fort Collins, passed away Sept. 9, 2005, after a brief illness. Kervyn was born July 16, 1917, in Akron, Iowa. Soon after graduating from high school in Akron, he began farming full time in Union County, S.D. He married the former Colleen Dannenbring on June 1, 1940. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. After leaving the family farm in the 1950s, the family relocated to Casper, Wyo., and moved to Fort Collins in 1962. He was affiliated with Prudential Insurance Company for many years, retiring in 1977. Kervyn had a love for life, enjoying the outdoors and especially the family cabin at Red Feather Lakes. Most of all, however, he loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He cherished the time and experiences he shared with them. He is survived by his wife, Colleen; two sons, Dennis, of Tie Siding, Wyo., and Fountain Hills, Ariz., Gregory Maggi, of Cottonwood, Ariz.; two daughters, Karen Bill Newell, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Kate Toby Bradley Grotz, of Prairie Village, Kan.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Duane Lorraine Dannenbring, of Fort Collins; sister-in-law Bernice Bradley, of Fort Collins; many nieces, nephews and other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. A funeral celebrating Kervyn's life will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 2000 S. Lemay Ave. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery, 1900 W. Mountain Ave. Pastor Michael Stadtmueller will officiate. Bohlender Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Larimer County, Our Saviour's Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
