Kenneth William Miller was born on May 3, 1937, in a small farmhouse in southeastern Colorado. He was the oldest of six children. Ken was proud to be a farm kid and loved to wrestle while growing up.

He met his first wife, JoAnn, at Colorado State University, where they loved attending dances. They married in 1959 and had two children, Bryant and Lavinia. Ken proudly served his country for years. After his service, he spent many years camping, hunting, and exploring the Rocky Mountains with his family. Ken and JoAnn moved out to her family’s land in northern Colorado in 1971, together they created the Miller Ranch. They spent many years working to turn the original farmhouse into a home for their family.

After becoming a widower, Ken met and married Pat in 1980. Pat brought four new children into the family. Ken and Pat expanded their cattle ranch in northern Colorado while raising
the kids. They loved spending their retirement years traveling across the country in an RV. When they weren’t traveling, you could find Ken cruising around the ranch in his ol’ Willy’s
Jeep, most often with his grandkids in tow. Ken was always willing to go Geronimo on any piece of equipment, and he loved to tinker. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of sitting on
his front porch, sharing a drink with friends and neighbors. He had an infectious, crooked, and ornery smile. He kept everyone on their toes with the jokes he would play, grinning like
the Cheshire Cat.

After becoming a widower a second time, Ken married Sally in 2004. Ken introduced Sally to the Miller Ranch, where they enjoyed horseback riding and taking the golf cart on wild adventures. During their marriage, they traveled extensively in their RV, spending many winters in Tucson, Arizona. They also enjoyed trips to Alaska and Hawaii.

Ken peacefully passed away at home on October 16th, 2026.

Ken was preceded in death by JoAnn McGee (Wife), Pat Hanson (Wife), Ray and Freda Miller (Father and Mother), Joyce Miller (Sister), Avesta McGrath (Sister), Maya Schauber (Step grandchild).
