Kenneth John Lazarony

Kenneth John Lazarony passed away Wednesday, December 7th at the age of 55. He was born November 16th, 1956 in Savannah, Georgia. Ken lived in Alaska and then Texas before arriving in Colorado with his family in 1965. He lived in Grand Junction, Boulder and lastly in Fort Collins. Ken worked at, and received services from Foothills Gateway Inc. for the past 24 years where he was a devoted employee, team worker, and friend. He enjoyed horseback riding, playing guitar, dancing, watching videos, listening to music, going out to eat, vacuuming, and spending time with his family and friends. He had a passionate interest in emergency shows such as Chips, Emergency and Adam 12. His admiration and respect for emergency professionals was not without irony, for Ken was truly a hero. His gentle, compassionate nature and off the cuff sense of humor brought joy and security to those around him. Ken loved to be helpful, and tirelessly sought out ways to assist people. He was a loyal, kind and
loving person. He lived with Great Spirit and will be missed by many. Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Voyles and brother, Brad Lazarony. He is survived
by his father, Richard Lazarony, and brother, Robert Lazarony, as well as his niece, Jenell Lazarony and nephew, Jason Lazarony. Memorial services will be held at Unity Church, 1401 W. Vine Drive, on Tuesday, December 13 at 12:00 pm with a burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Those who desire may view Ken, Monday, 12-4 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
