Kathy Palke

Jan. 21, 1949 to July 17, 2008 Thursday morning, July 17th, 2008, Kathy left us after finally losing her battle with cancer. She had a wonderful smile and beautiful personality that lit up a room when she entered. Kathy was a member of the Fort Collins Lion's Club, a volunteer at Ensight Skills Center, the local chapter of the M.S. Society and worked briefly with Disabled Resource Services. She had recently graduated from Front Range Community College with a certificate in Holistic Health. Mourning her loss are her constant companion and best friend, Fred Bitting; her two sons, John and Mark Palke of Fort Collins; her sister, Lucinda Clark; father and mother, Jack and Helen Podany of Minnesota; the fellowship of St. Peter's and Christ Our Hope Anglican Churches as well as others touched by her life. A memorial service with a party in her honor to follow will be held at Avagadro's Number, beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday Aug. 10th. In lieu of flowers gifts may be sent to Ensight Skill Center, the American Cancer Society or the Northern Colorado Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
