Kathryn H. Majeski, 77, of Loveland, died June 30, 2013 at Hospice at McKee Medical Center. Kathy was born January 20, 1936 in Wakeeney, Kansas to Fred and Margaret Bauer. She lived in Wakeeney until moving to Loveland in 1947, where she graduated from Loveland High School in 1954. After graduation she attended Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. She moved to Chicago in the late 1950'ss where she met and married the love of her life in 1962 in Midlothian, Illinois. Kathy and Bob moved their family to Colorado in 1973 where they lived happily together with their children and grandchildren. Kathy enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, crafting, sewing and relished her time singing with the Loveland Rhythm Singers. She was president of the American Lutheran Church Women's Organization; volunteered for the Thompson School District and Meals on Wheels; graciously gave of her time and talents to Zion Lutheran Church in Loveland. She also enjoyed going to Blackhawk and playing Bingo, but her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Bob; sons, Bob Teresa, Fred Penny all of Loveland; daughter, Laura Knaff John of Fort Collins; sisters, Joanne Sterkel Glen, Harriet Colton both of Loveland and three grandchildren, Rachel, Ryan and Rebecca. Preceding Kathy in death are her parents, Margaret and Fred. A Memorial Service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 815 E. 16th St., Loveland, on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Joel Pancoast will officiate the service.
