Kathleen Ella Tallent, age 80, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2024, in Fort Collins, Colorado surrounded by her family after a long journey with Alzheimer's. She was born on October 11, 1943, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Henry and Effa Mittelberg.
Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother as well as a loyal friend to many. She was known for her love of Jesus, her dedication to family and her vibrant smile and warmth. Kathy never met a stranger. She had a long, successful career as an administrative professional for aerospace organizations. Kathy had a passion for singing, walking, reading, travel, and attending church but most especially engaging and connecting with her family and friends. She had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed trying new experiences like RVing, paddle boarding, snowshoeing and swimming with dolphins. Her love for humanity shone brightly throughout her entire life. Kathy truly epitomized Jesus's love through her grace, kindness and compassion that was the foundation of her personality.
Kathy was married on May 11, 1962, to Logan Rance Tallent, and spent the next 62 years travelling the world through their 23 years in the Air Force and raising her family in amazing places like Florida, Japan, New York, Germany, Nebraska, Tennessee and Colorado. Kathy is survived by her husband Rance, and their three daughters, Wendy Orrender (& Brent), Stacy Tallent (& Nikki) and Kelly Webb (& Seth). Kathy also has seven grandchildren (Lauren, Tanner, Ian, Casey, Tresden, Logan and Willa) and five great grandchildren (Riley, Finn, Lydo, Ami and Finley) with a sixth (Atlas) on the way. She was the youngest of five children: Orland Mittelberg, Ona Alm (deceased), Martie Siebken, and Jeannette Loos (deceased).
Our hearts miss her dearly, but she had a strong Christian faith, and we know she is joyously singing with the angel's choir in heaven.
A celebration of life will be held on June 15, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Bohlender Funeral Chapel in Fort Collins. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer's Association,
