Katherine Anna Lindgren

Born September 21, 1927, Highland Park, Michigan to parents Hugo and Laura, Katherine, known to most as 'Kay', graduated Bellevue High School, June of 1945, received a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University in 1949, a Master of Arts from the University of Denver in 1956, studied at the University of Heidelberg, Germany 1959/60. She received a second bachelor's degree in social work from Colorado State University in 1977. She married William (Bill) Lindgren, in June of 1962 and they adopted 2 children, Paul and Lisa. After an unusually varied (for a woman of her generation) and international career, raising her family and enjoying her retirement to the fullest Kay passed away, in dignity and peace in her own home in Fort Collins, Colorado on July 19th, 2024 at 96 years old. Her Celebration of Life Service will take place on September 21, 2024 10:00am-12:30pm at Plymouth Congregational Church, 916 West Prospect, Fort Collins CO 80526.
