Kate Marie Ulam

Kate Marie Ulam, July 13, 1986 - June 7, 2023.

Kate was unexpectedly taken from us in a tragic auto accident. She was born in Fort Collins, Colorado to Mark and Karen Morgan.

Kate grew up on the Front Range and experienced all the outdoors had to offer as a young child through her adult life. She was an avid outdoorswoman and passionate about anything that involved horses, inculding gymkhanas, trail riding, wilderness pack trips, and hunting and fishing expeditions.

Kate worked in the family business, Morgan Timber Products, all her life. This is where she met her husband Maverick Ulam, and was married Januray 4, 2013. Recently, Kate assumed the rold of general manager at MTP. She was a member of the Colorado Timber Industry Association. Kate sponsored mutliple tours and programs for local schools including Front Range Community College and Colorado State University, along with many other organizations.

Kate also had a passion for photography, so much so that she started a business, Wild Auroras, in which she could share God's beauty (and her talent) with others.

Kate was a member of the Virginia Dale Church. As a firm believer in Jesus Christ her Lord, along with her son David, they committed themselves to the Lord on Easter Sunday, 04/09/2023 through the holy waters of baptism.

Kate was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and friend to so many. She will be greatly missed.

Kate is survived by her husband Maverick Ulam, her two sons David McConnell and Eli Ulam, parents Mark and Karen Morgan, and a very large extended family of relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 24, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at the "4 Bars" Ranch just north of Wellington, Colorado, 16840 Mars Hill Lane, Wellington, CO 80549. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the 4H, Larimer County Extention Office, 1525 Blue Spruce Dr., Ft. Collins, CO 80524-2004 in care of the Livermore Wranglers or in care of 4H Foundation.
