Our world is far less green because Kali Denae Zimmerman lost her life too soon in a tragic accident on June 19, 2014. She was 17 years old.
Kali was born January 17, 1997 in Fort Collins to Daniel Zimmerman and Yvonne White Esely. Kali was a bright happy young woman, always looking for adventure. She was going to be a senior at Polaris High School. She also worked at Ft. Collins Good Samaritan Retirement Village. Kali loved photography, modelling, eating she was a strict vegetarian. Kali lived life to the fullest. Her smile and laughter was contagious, like no other. Her presence always brightened any room. She could always make you smile whether you wanted to or not. Kali had great inner strength, along with smarts and beauty. Kali is going to be donating her hair to "Locks of Love," so she can make someone else just as beautiful as she was.
She is the missing piece in the lives of her parents, Daniel Zimmerman and his wife, Jessica of Denver and Yvonne Esely and her husband, Leeroy Esely of Greeley; six sisters, Alicia Dennel, Brittany Zimmerman, Jordan Zimmerman, Brooke Zimmerman, Breanna Esely, and Jaidyn Esely. Kali is also survived by her grandparents, uncles, aunts, and many cousins. We will forever miss her. She will always be in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m. at Canyonridge Baptist Church, 4608 W. County Rd. 52E, Laporte, CO. Contributions may be made to the Kali Zimmerman Love Fund in care of First National Bank.
