June E. Smith

June E. Smith, 91, of Fort Collins died at her home on September 27, 2010. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on June 30, 1919. She was raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa, with her parents and 3 sisters before moving to Chicago. She married Lloyd Baryzdlo and remained in the Chicago area until his death. In 1976 she relocated to Fort Collins, where she married Merle Smith and remained until her death. June was an active member of the Moose Lodge for 32 years. Her many interests included performing in horse shows, including trick riding, sewing, cooking, square dancing, bingo, dog training/grooming and entering her dogs in shows. She will be dearly missed. June was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Altamae Nicholas and Betty McCann, and both husbands. Survivors include her sister, Joyce Smith of Fort Collins, several nieces and nephews including Michael Warner and family, from Mt. Zion, Ill., and her step-daughter, Mary Cole and family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Larimer County Humane Society in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524. A Funeral Service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 1:00 p.m. Friday. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery.
