Judy O. Hamilton

Judy Olsen was born December 24, 1924 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado to Mary and Mack Olsen. Judy grew up in Fort Collins and graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1943.

Judy met the love of her life, Wally Hamilton, at the Poudre Valley Creamery in Fort Collins. They were married October 30, 1943 in San Diego, California.

Judy returned to Fort Collins while Wally served in the Navy during WWII. The couple then returned to San Diego. Judy worked as a supervisor in the catalogue department of Sears, retiring after 33 years.

After retirement, the couple relocated to Colorado, living in Montrose until 1984, and then returning to Fort Collins to make their home.

Judy and Wally traveled extensively around the U.S. by motor home visiting nearly every state. Beautiful photographs of their travels filled their home.

Judy is survived by a large family of friends that will miss her sweet smile, sparkling eyes and crafty nature. She was preceded in death by her husband Wally, her parents Mary and Mack, her brothers Bill, Mack and Don Olsen and her sister Frances Widger, all of Fort Collins.

Her friends wish to thank Dr. Mark Simmons and his staff, Pathways Hospice and the outstanding, loving, caring, tolerant and understanding nurses and CNAs at Lemay Avenue Health and Rehabilitation for making Judy's last 3 years comfortable and happy.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Lemay Avenue Health and Rehabilitation on June 9th with a private graveside service to follow.
