Judy met Keith Kroon in 1966 and they were married in 1968 and lived in Greece, NY on the old Erie Canal. They had two boys, Jeff and Scott, and the family enjoyed camping and travel including trips to Europe, winter trips to Florida to visit her parents, and a 5 week western US road trip. They hosted exchange students from the nearby universities and would share traditions such as having them over for Thanksgiving dinner.

Judy and Keith traveled all over the world during their 51 years of marriage and made annual trips to Mexico and central America to escape the Rochester winters and particularly enjoyed Oaxaca Mexico where they returned to numerous times to enjoy the food, culture, and weather. She also enjoyed their trips to the Christmas markets in Germany and the trips to Thailand to enjoy the cuisine.

Judy enjoyed many creative endeavors and through the years did various crafts such as painting and sewing projects, She loved to learn about the local cuisine art and culture from regions they traveled to.

She loved animals and, in particular, beagle dogs. She grew up with Patches and later the Kroon's adopted Royal and Barney and later enjoyed grand dogs Radar, Jake, Phoebe, and Pepper. Judy was a volunteer docent at the Seneca Park Zoo and even handled the snakes!

In 2020, after Keith's death, Judy moved to Fort Collins, CO and enjoyed living at Rigden Farm Senior Living where she made many friends and organized a lecture series by residents to talk about events in their lives. She also enjoyed the mountain views from balcony and car rides to Estes Park and up the Poudre Canyon.

She is preceded in death by her husband Keith Kroon. She is survived by her sons Jeff and Scott, grandchildren Kaleigh and Colton and daughters-in law Mineca and Janine. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
