Joyce Marie Mestas, 83, of Fort Collins, died May 15, 2015 in Fort Collins.
Joyce was born December 21, 1931 to Amado Gonzales and Charlotte Santistevan.
Joyce was born and raised in Wellington, Colorado; attending Wellington Schools and graduated from Fort Collins High School, the family having moved in 1947. She retired as a Staff Assistant from Colorado State University. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and watching the Rockies and Broncos.
Survivors include her daughter, Rose Thompson (John); her sons, Jerry and Rick (Lori) all of Fort Collins; grandchildren, Michelle Shepard and Rick Mestas, Jr. of Fort Collins; two step grandchildren, Ashley and Emily; great grandchildren, Kayzha, Lauren, Ryan, Elena Shepard and Athena Mestas; great-great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Savannah, Dominic, Dallas and Tyler; one step-great-great grandchild, Colin; sisters, Flora Apodaca, Mary Lucero, Eleanor Dippel, Helen Albert; and brother, Manuel, all of the Denver area.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank, Louie, Amado, Jr., Benny, and Charlie.
