Joyce Ann Marshall, age 87, of Marana, AZ, formerly of Fort Collins, CO passed away January 15, 2024.
Joyce was born November 24, 1936, to Aaron A. and Orlie M. (Rassette) Steinle in Russell, KS. She graduated from Salina Senior High School in 1954. Joyce was united in marriage to Charles Richard Marshall, Dec. 16, 1956, in Salina KS. To this union were born seven children, James Aaron, Gregory Charles, Steven Mark, Kathryn Ann, Kevin Eugene, Alfred Thomas, and Richard Alan. The family moved from Salina, KS to Fort Collins, CO in 1967. In 1996, Joyce and her husband, Charles, moved to Marana, AZ.
Joyce was the bookkeeper for her husband's business, C & J Masonry. She was also a homemaker and made sure her children never missed any of their many school and sporting events. Joyce was of the First Methodist faith. She enjoyed the many weekend camping trips to the lake, snowmobiling, and of course all her children's sporting activities. Joyce was a fantastic cook and enjoyed listening to music (Tom Jones was her favorite).
Joyce is survived by five sons, James and friend Christine of Marana, AZ, Gregory of Arlington, TX, Steven and wife Jolene of Sterling, CO, Kevin and wife Shelly of Loveland, CO, Richard and wife Sheryl of Frisco, TX and one daughter, Kathryn of Denver, CO; seven grandchildren, Charles (Robyn) Marshall, Tyler Marshall, Jordan Marshall, Blaine Marshall, Garrett Marshall, Eisley (Valeria) Black, James Marshall Jr.; and 8 great-grandchildren; one brother, Gary Hanks (Karna); three sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Steinle, Patricia Marshall, Barbara Wire (Theodore).
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Orlie Steinle, her stepfather, Alfred Hanks; her husband, Charles R. Marshall; one son, Alfred Marshall; two sisters, Mildred Steponick and Leola Steinle; and one brother, Melvin Steinle.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Fort Collins, CO 80524. Buriel will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
