Josephine L. Varra, 97, of Fort Collins, died at Sterling House of Fort Collins on May 6, 2015.
Mrs. Varra was born October 5, 1917 in Craig, Colorado to Walter and Matilda Winberg.
Josephine married Thomas Anthony Varra in Castle Rock, Colorado on July 23, 1935. Thomas passed away in 1999.
Mrs. Varra lived most of her life in Fort Collins. She and Tom owned and operated Varra Beauty Salon for 46 years.
Survivors include her son; Thomas Varra (Dianna) of Nunn, Colorado; and daughter, Sandra Whitman of Boston, Massachusetts; twelve grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Preceding Josephine in death are her parents, Walter and Matilda; husband, Thomas; daughter, Patty Young; son-in-law, Bob Whitman, brothers, Robert Winberg, and Burt Winberg, and sister, Edith Nay.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to Halcyon Hospice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Ft. Collins, CO 80524.
