Josephine P. Trujillo, 95, of Fort Collins, died Feb. 16, 2009, at her residence. Mrs. Trujillo was born Jan. 25, 1914, in La Garita, to Joseph J. Curby and Della Valdeze Curby. Josephine married Andrew Trujillo on April 3, 1929 in Creede. After moving from LaGarita, to Fort Collins, in 1940, she lived in LaPorte, for 25 years and eventually moved back to Fort Collins. Much of her working career was spent in Woolworth's as a cashier and with Hesteds as a departmental manager. Josephine's life was intertwined with the love of her family and her paramount belief in her religious teachings. Her faith and love was freely given to everyone she came in contact with. Survivors include her sons, Vernon Nightwalker, of Fort Collins, and Robert Trujillo, of Longmont; daughters, Alice McCoy and Birdie Wilson, both of Fort Collins, and Susan London, of Dacono; a sister, Ida McIntyre, of Fort Collins; 24 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren. Preceding Josephine in death are her parents; husband, Andrew Trujillo; four brothers, John, Herbert, David, and George Curby; three sisters, Katherine Anjo, Loraine Kernen, and Marie Fotland; a son, Lewis Trujillo; and a daughter, Virginia Whitney; two grandsons, Billy Wilson and Starr Whitney; a great-granddaughter, Cherish Thompson; and a great-grandson, Tino Zolliecoffer. A prayer vigil will be held, at 6:30 p.m., on Sunday, at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, at 10 a.m., on Monday. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Father Roger Lascelle will officiate at the services.
