Josephine Esther Knittle Haynes passed away in her home on November 14, 2014 at the age of 85. She was born on January 4, 1929 in Beaver City, Nebraska to Alonzo James Ford and Faye Edith Garrison Ford. While growing up on a farm in Auburn School District in Evans, Colorado, she was one of seven children that knew the value of family and hard work. She loved to crochet, knit, quilt, and was skilled at anything crafty. Her favorite color was red and her favorite animal was a cow. She was also known for her funny and feisty personality. Josephine's greatest pleasure and joy in life was her family. She had four children, daughter, Jody Wendel, and three sons, Lonnie Knittle Linda, Tony Knittle Lois, and Rocky Haynes Diane; ten grandchildren: Lonnie "Beau" Annie, Bronson Bri, Mark Rachel, Benjamin Brenda, Michael, Lacy, Tawnia, Melanie Casey, Lisa, and Jennie Mike; six great grandchildren Devin, Marquis, Aiden, Maddox, Jessica, and Brittni; two great, great, grandchildren Carter, and another on the way; nieces and nephews; and cat, Andi Puss. She was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie G. Knittle, and husbands, Steve Haynes, and Marvin Knittle; brothers, Max Ford, Donald Ford, James Ford, and Jasper Ford; sisters, Eva Ford Hamburger, and Creta Ford. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
