Joseph Raymond Nunnally passed away peacefully October 25, 2025, at Poudre Canyon Healthcare, where he lived since 2019.
Joe was born in Ft Collins, CO to James and Ruby Nunnally on July 17, 1946. He lived and worked in Ft Collins his entire life. He attended LaPorte Avenue Elementary School and Lincoln Jr High School. He was a trained upholster. He worked in this profession as well as in food service. He always enjoyed working around other people.
Joe had the nickname of "Booker T", which was given to him by some of his close friends, and stayed with him throughout his life. His friends gave him this nickname because of his love for the "rhythm and blues" band Booker T. & the M.G.'s.
Joe loved playing pool, and horseshoes. He competed in several area tournaments. He even taught his sister Veronica how to play pool. Many weekends were spent with his closest friends playing poker.
Joe is survived by his sisters Sylvia Gomez, Tulare, CA, Victoria Tenorio, Ft Collins, CO, and Veronica Feltch, Wellington, CO, and by his brothers David Nunnally, Loveland, CO, and Jerome Nunnally, Fresno, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers James Nunnally, Bradford Nunnally, William (Paul) Nunnally, and Anthony Nunnally.
His family would like to thank friends and staff at Poudre Canyon Health and Rehabilitation Center where Joe lived for the past six years, as well as the staff of Poudre Valley Hospital and Pathways Hospice who provided thoughtful and professional care to Joe in his final days.
The family plans a "Celebration of Joe's Life and Times" at a later date.
