Joseph M. Bohan, 75, of Ft. Collins passed away, unexpectedly, at his residence on January 2, 2017. Joseph was born September 19, 1941 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Joseph Theodore Bohan and Laura Schuster Bohan.
Joe Graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1965 and joined the Navy as well as the Marine Corps from 1966-1972 during the Vietnam War. Joe was the Security Department Manager at the Federal Reserve Bank of Denver. After his retirement from banking, Joe was a drywall contractor. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting stamps, coins, photography and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children Richard DaSilva and his wife Kathleen of Lakewood, Shawn Bohan of Bozeman, Montana and Chrissy Barker and her husband Jason of Ft. Collins; a brother, Robert Bohan and his wife Barbara of Annapolis, Maryland; one sister, Denise de l a Cruz of Salt Lake City, Utah; twin twelve year old granddaughters, Emma and Sophia Barker, and a ten year old grandson, Jacob.
Preceding Joseph in death are his parents; a sister Mary Bohan, and his wife Marion Jean Bohan.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Community of Christ Church 220 E. Oak St., Ft. Collins, Co. Contributions may be made to either Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance or American Kidney Foundation in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Ft. Collins, CO. 80524.
