Jose (Joe) Samora Jr. May 1, 1965 – February 6, 2024
Joe Passed away peacefully on February 6th, 2024, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins Colorado. He was born May 1st, 1965, in Slaton, TX the son of Jose and Carmen (Quinonez) Samora.
Joe graduated from Post high school in Post, Texas in 1983. After graduating he moved to Colorado to live with his sister and brother-in-law. JoAnn (Samora) and Rudy Castro. He was a musician who loved to play the drums, harmonica, sing karaoke, and in high school played the trumpet. He was an outstanding athlete who played football, softball, golf, horseshoes, and basketball. He excelled in softball winning many MVP and sportsmanship awards.
Joe had a very good work ethic; he was successful as a warehouse logistics manager for various companies. Joe loved his family, friends, music, beer, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Joe was predeceased by his parents Jose and Carmen Samora. Survived by his daughter Paige Samora, granddaughter Mila Samora, and ex-wife Pam McCaffery. Sister JoAnn Castro and her husband Rudy Castro of Gilcrest, Colorado. Nephews Isreal Castro of Gilcrest, CO and Jonathan Castro (Tammy) of Jacksonville, FL. Nieces Krystal Castro (Juve) of Evans, CO, and Tina Castro of Gilcrest, CO. Great nephews and nieces Joshua, Kayla, Joseph, Julianna, Justina, and Isreal Jr. Castro of Greely, CO. Jonathan Jr. and Catelee Castro of Jacksonville, FL. Jordan, and Makayla Castro of Gilcrest, CO as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that he dearly loved.
The family would like to thank the Fort Collins Reserve Mission staff and residents for the overwhelming love and support for the family.
Joe, Little Joe, Uncle Joe-Joe, and all other alias's that you had, you will be dearly missed by all that you influenced and loved. We love you.
A visitation will be held 5-7pm, Friday, February 9, 2024 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
