John Thomas Linsenmeyer, 59, of Fort Collins, died June 16, 2007, at Poudre Valley Hospital. Mr. Linsenmeyer was born June 15, 1948, in Blue Springs, Neb., to Ernst Linsenmeyer and Lenora Roland Linsenmeyer. He was raised on a farm near Blue Springs. John served in the U.S. Army, with a tour in Korea and a tour in Vietnam. He was awarded the Purple Heart. John married Judy Kechter on April 11, 1976, in Loveland. They lived in Loveland for 3 years and then moved to Bellvue. After living in Bellvue for 26 years, he lived in Fort Collins for the past 2 years. John was a security specialist at Hewlett-Packard for 23 years. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and the Disabled American Veterans. He loved to play with his grandchildren. John brought smiles and joy everywhere he went. Survivors include his wife, Judy Linsenmeyer; a son, Robert Linsenmeyer, both of Ft. Collins; a daughter, Juanita Garcia and her husband, Tony of Westminster; a brother, Arthur Linsenmeyer of Wymore, Neb.; two sisters, Mary Strick and her husband, Michael of Loveland, and Barbara Khaleeg and her husband, Babrak of Plainview, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Linsenmeyer of Beatrice, Neb, and Cherie Manke of Fort Collins; three grandchildren, Taylor, Nikki, and Megan Garcia; and a honorary grandson, Korey Taylor. Preceding John in death are his parents; a brother, Roger Linsenmeyer, and an infant brother. A Memorial Service will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 1200 S. Taft Hill Road at 11 a.m. Friday. Rev. Joe Holub will officiate at the service. Memorial contributions can be made to John Linsenmeyer Memorial Fund in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W.
