Listen to Obituary
John A. Jackson, Jr. "Bud" passed away from this life to go to his real home in heaven on May 8. He passed from this life surrounded by his family at home as they sang his favorite song, "Amazing Grace."

He was born in Nashville, TN on July 29, 1938 to John and Mary Jackson. He moved to Clarksville, TN in high school. He also lived in Orlando, FL for ten years before moving to Escondido, CA where he lived for 25 years. He called Fort Collins home since 2005.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 33 years, Barbara. He was truly blessed with 5 wonderful children, Denise Timby (John), Dwight Jackson (Lauren), Deanna Cao, Darlene Smith (Don), and Darrin Jackson (Julie). He was overjoyed to have 19 terrific grandchildren and 5 adorable great-grandchildren. Bud is also survived by his sisters, Donna Patterson, Terry Dykes, Lolly Hand; and brother, Rogers Jackson.

Bud was a personable, respected salesman his whole life. Before retiring, he worked 15 years as a kitchen designer for Home Depot Expo in San Diego. He was a faithful member of Faith Evangelical Free Church in Fort Collins. One of Bud's great joys was teaching the Bible and mentoring men in their walk with God. Bud loved to travel and after retirement was able to go on many adventures with his wife. Bud loved football; watching and coaching. He especially enjoyed coaching boy's football for the City of Fort Collins youth football program. He enjoyed playing tennis and taught many kids and grandkids to play. He loved his family so much. Most of all he loved His Lord and savior Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed.

The family wants to thank Halcyon Hospice (Sherry, Wanda & Michelle) for the wonderful and meaningful care they gave to Bud in his last months.

In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Halcyon Hospice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Evangelical Free Church, 3920 S. Shields.
