Jack Glover was born on March 28, 1937, in Steubenville, Ohio, to his parents, John and Ethel.
Jack attended the University of Iowa, where he was the drum major in the Marching Band. He was fortunate enough to lead the marching band in the 1957 Rose Bowl, setting the example for his own sons to love music and participate in their own college marching bands.
Immediately after graduating from college, Jack married his high school sweetheart, Donna Toth. This led to a wonderful 64 years together and a family consisting of their two sons, Scott and Kipp, and six grandchildren, Freyja, Lauren, Mitch, Jayden, Cole, and Logan.
After getting married, he continued his education and obtained his doctorate in Hydraulics Engineering. He then worked as a professor at the University of Iowa in the hydraulics department for many years before transitioning to a career as a computer engineer with HP in Roseville, CA.
Later in life, Jack retired in Fort Collins, CO. in order to be closer to his sons and their families.
Jack had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and photography, especially capturing the beauty of nature. He was a caring person who always looked out for his neighbors. While living in Colorado, Jack and Donna had a home in Estes Park to enjoy the mountains as well as time with family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time working with his hands, doing woodworking, and making furniture for his family.
Jack will be remembered for his kindness, his passion for the outdoors, and his dedication to his family and community.
