Johanne attended Saint Rose Elementary in Belmar, NJ and then Saint Rose High School, where she graduated from in 1962. After graduating high school it was on to Marywood College (Now Marywood

She went on to take a position with the State of NJ, Division of Human Services where she worked until her retirement in 2005.

After retirement, she spent time doing some of her favorite hobbies. She liked to sew, knit, and crochet, which led her to go to alot of wool festivals where she collected vintage yarns and material to make things. Johanne also liked to collect dolls, and stuffed animals, for which she made alot of clothes. She loved to listen to classical music and jazz, was an avid reader, especially of Steven King, and loved crossword puzzles and word searches. Her favorite section of the newspaper was the comics.

In 1968 Johanne met William Giglio through a mutual friend, it was love at first sight. They were married in 1970, at Saint Rose Church in Belmar, NJ and then moved to Lakehurst, NJ. They went on to have four children: Michael, Anthony, William, and Robin. After many years in Lakehurst they moved to Wall, NJ. Johanne eventually moved to Fort Collins, CO to enjoy retirement and to be with grand children.

Johanne was a great mom and person and was loved by many people. She was a social butterfly and could start a conversation with anyone. Many of the students she taught, thought she was one of the best teachers in school. She was one of those people who would give you the shirt of her back, or feed someone before she fed herself. She welcomed anyone, regardless of where they came from, who they were, or what they believed in. She will be truly missed.
