Joe D. Armijo passed away on August 28, 2018. Joe was born in Antonito, CO on September 29, 1923 to Juan and Armnandita Armijo. He moved with his family of four brothers and one sister to Fort Collins at the age of 8 years. He attended Fort Collins Schools and graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1943. Rejoined the Military after graduation and served his country 1943 to 1945. He married the love of his life, Dolores Sandoval on June 12, 1954 and together they had three children, Dorothy, Joey and Paul.
Joe was a carpenter by trade but a handyman to many as he could do many other things. He was a proud Bronco and Rockies fan.
Joe is survived by his wife of 64 years; daughter, Dorothy Wilson; grandson, Joseph Wilson and six great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alice Mares, many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his two sons and grandson, Peter Wilson; his parents and many other family members. Joe will be dearly missed and always remembered for his happy smile.
There will be a rosary followed by a mass at Holy Family Catholic Church at 9:30 am Tuesday, September 4. A luncheon will follow at the VFW hall, 603 Lesser Dr, Fort Collins, CO following the burial. Friends may send condolences to the family at bohlenderfuneralchapel.com.
