Jodie Beth Bell passed away peacefully at home on April 10, 2016 surrounded by her family.

Jodie was born to Joyce Watts (Maguire) and James Bell in Dallas, Texas on May 31, 1969.

She graduated from Texas A&M University in 1991with a Bachelors degree in Wildlife Ecology. Jodie worked as a biologist in Florida, Alabama and Georgia before relocating to Fort Collins, Colorado where she worked as the Ecology Information Manager for the Colorado Natural Heritage Program based at Colorado State University.

Jodie developed a passion for yoga and became a certified yoga instructor. She started Belle Yoga in 2007 where she provided yoga for all ages including classes at the Women's Clinic of Northern Colorado, Rigden Farm, Good Samaritan Senior Living Center, Oakwood Elementary School and elementary schools in the Poudre School District. She also taught yoga classes at her studio located in the Café Vino bulding where she created her popular Yin & Vin events.

Jodie was an avid outdoor enthsiast and spent many hours hiking, birding, running, paddle boarding and traveling. She loved animals and volunteered at wildlife and animal rescue facilities. She touched the lives of many people with her gentle and caring nature and her beautiful smile.

She is survived by her husband, Nik Allain; her mother, Joyce Watts Maguire; brother, Mike Bell (Isabelle); sisters, Melissa Maguire, Michelle Simon (Andrew), Sandy Rodriguez Marsh (Chad); stepmother, Leah Bell; nephew, Spencer Simon; nieces, Sarah Bell and Kayleigh Zeiger, as well as many cousins and friends. Her father, James Bell preceded her in death.

A celebration of her life will be held at The Agave Room (at the Rio), 143 W. Mountain, Fort Collins on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 5pm-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Pathways Hospice, Animal House, Fort Collins Cat Rescue, or Defenders of Wildlife in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.
