Joanne Mill of Cheyenne, Wyoming and 38-year part-time resident of Lake Havasu, Arizona passed away in Fort Collins, Colorado on May 17, 2025. Just one month shy of her 94th birthday.

Joanne was born in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming and lived most of her life in Cheyenne. She was married to Everett Mill for 58 years until his passing in 2016.

Joanne is known for her outgoing personality and friendly demeaner. She loved people and was very comfortable initiating conversations and making friends. She was charismatic and charming. She had a knack at making people feel comfortable.

Since an early age Joanne was an entrepreneur and business woman. At the age of 18 she opened her own dress store, the Joanne Shop, in downtown Cheyenne. In 1973, Joanne, along with her husband opened and operated Auto Electric. Over her life she was a devoted wife, caring mother, and faithful friend. She was a bookkeeper, secretary, business owner, clothing sales expert, seamstress, club president, chairwoman, employer, philanthropist, quilter, and a social giant.

She was a vital figure in the following organizations: PEO, Women's Civic League, of which she was the first Christmas House chairperson, St. Mark Pairs and Spares, Oak Spokes Antique Car Club, Cheyenne Boat and Ski Club, Germans from Russia, Lake Havasu Investment Club, and Cheyenne Gourmet Group.

Her hobbies changed through the years but she loved to sew, making many clothes of her own as well as her children's in the early years. She loved waterskiing, walking with friends, investments, and genealogy but her all-time favorite was quilting. Making over 40 quilts, her legacy will live on through her beautiful artwork.

After retiring Joanne and Everett spent their winter months in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Joanne was an essential resident of Los Lagos Vista making it one of the favorite places to live in the city. She was socially active in getting people together and making everyone feel welcome. Everett and Joanne loved to attend Dixieland Jazz Festivals all over the country.

Survived by her children Becky DiCicco of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Debbie Robinson of Fort Collins, Colorado and Steve Mill of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Each child having a second residence in Lake Havasu City, carrying on the tradition. Joanne loved spending time with her grandchildren. Christopher DiCicco of Liberty Lake, Washington, Paul DiCicco (Adriana) of Craig, Colorado, Aubrie Newendyke of Windsor, Colorado, Caitlin Stouffer (Jordan) of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Aspen Mill (Grace) of Warren, Ohio. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and her sister, Carol Cahalane of Fraser, Colorado. Preceded in death by her husband, Everett Mill, her parents Lawrence and Marguerite Hacker, and her sister Betty McIntyre.

A celebration of life will be held on her birthday, June 17, 2025 at Cheyenne Evangelical Free Church at 11:00 am, located at 7006 N College Drive, Cheyenne, Wyoming.
