Theo JoAnne Ehrlich, 71, of Red Feather Lakes, was called home to be with the Lord on Sept. 11, 2008, at the Hospice of Larimer County Unit at McKee Medical Center in Loveland. Mrs. Ehrlich fought a long and courageous fight with breast cancer. Mrs. Ehrlich was born on Sept. 30, 1936, in Denver to Ralph Darrow and Thelma Stringham Darrow. She graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1954. On May 8, 1955, JoAnne married Duane Ehrlich, Sr. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Collins. She was a lifelong resident of Fort Collins and Red Feather Lakes. JoAnne was employed as an Accounting Technician at Colorado State University from 1968 until her retirement in 1996. She enjoyed many things: bowling, camping, fishing, CSU Athletics, attending Colorado Rockies baseball games and spring training games in Tucson, Ariz., watching NASCAR races go #48!, volunteering at the thrift store in Red Feather Lakes, the wildlife and natural beauty in Red Feather, spending time with her family and friends, her church and her faith in God. Mrs. Ehrlich was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Betty; her son, Dean; and her son in law, Walt. Survivors include her husband, Duane of Red Feather Lakes; a son, Gene Michelle Ehrlich of Fort Collins; a daughter, Pamela Beckman of Lakewood; and her grandchildren, Keith and Arick Hunter of Fort Collins. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. A second service will follow at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Chapel in the Pines. Interment will follow at Swanson Memorial Gardens in Red Feather Lakes. Dr. Rod Wilmoth will officiate. At the request of JoAnne and her family please wear your favorite CSU, Colorado Rockies or NASCAR apparel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Larimer County, Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the charity of your choice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Fort Collins, CO 80524.
